Aftercare: Piercing

Clean the fresh piercing with denatured alcohol using earbuds. Once cleared and air dried, apply an antibacterial ointment on both the ends of the piercing. You need to repeat this process 3 times a day for 60 days.

OR

Wash the piercing with a Himalayan pink salt solution in lukewarm water 2 times a day for 45 days.

GENERAL POINTERS
Avoid swimming pools, sea, ponds, lakes, and/or dipping the tattoo in any common water body to minimize the chances of cross-contamination.

Keep moving the piercing around gently so that new tissue doesn’t grow on it and it gets stuck.

Be careful not to get your piercing pulled or tugged. Depending on the placement of the piercing, you may need to be cautious while performing certain activities, or may stop doing them.

Do not take out the original jewelry without consulting the artist. Either the piercing may get clogged/closed, or you may damage the piercing. Also, not all materials are suitable for fresh piercings and may increase the likeliness of contracting an infection or developing allergies.
